Where are the MGers???? I am looking for a source to make a restoration quality MG MType wire harness of my 1929 car. Please don't ask for the old harness for a sample. It isn't identifiable. Someone must have made them?

Bob,

I got a harness from Sports and Vintage, they sent it by return mail and it is awsome. YMMV.

Sports & Vintage Motors,
Upper Battlefield,
Shrewsbury, SY4 3DB,
England.

Phone +44 (0) 1939 210458
Fax +44 (0) 1939 210644

For $10 U.S. they will send a catalogue and price list.

Bob,

I got a harness from Sports and Vintage for the PA It's a little long in places because it can also be used for 6 cyl cars. But too long is better than too short! They list one for J type and say that it can be used for M, D & F types. There may be others, Jerry Felper may have a suggestion.

What do mean by "restoration quality"? I know that Brian Kelly made his own on a couple of sheets of plywood. Seems like a lot of work. S&V's price list shows 75 British pounds. Their phone # is:011 441 939 210 458.

cheers,
Jack

How about just making one, and taking it to Egge Machine Co. in Santa Fe Springs for cloth cover weaving.

I should try Eggy Electrics for such a thing. I have forwarded this message to one of their top men, although he is often away working on customers' cars so may take a week or so to get back to you.
